Congratulations to my brother

Just a quick word to congratulate my brother, who finished in 4th at the 200k on Full Tilt this evening. He played some of the best poker I've seen. If you watched his play, you would have seen him make a couple of errors, and I know he would admit that. But he recognized shortly after making those errors that 1) he made them and 2) that there was a better way to make that play - and then he played in that better style. He made some very tough decisions that were correct.

However, I think the biggest step he made was that for the first time in talking to him he SOUNDED as if he was truly playing to win a big tournament as this. This is how a winning player wins tournaments - he plays to win, he puts his opponent to tough decisions and he makes tough decisions of his own correctly. Matthew did that today.

He had a nice run of cards to get into position, but with 5 left at the final table he just ran into a brutally cold run of cards, and couldn't get his K5 to outrace jacks. The 5 on the river was just a tease, the board was already 5777. It only let him play the board. Still, the result is incredible, and full congratulations go out to Matt. So, if you see PanRains around, congratulate him, and tell him to come with me to AC.
