So after going card dead in the Party 200k tonight (2 hours with one hand - QQ. I'd give the gory details behind how I busted but you won't want to hear them. To put it simply, it was a coinflip and a guy instacalled all in behind a raise, a call and a push with TT) I decided to play a heads up match on stars. I won. It took about 10 minutes, but I was able to read the guy like a book. I made one call that I was very upset with myself for, but I was able to put that aside and went on to win.

Heads up has always been a strength of mine. I've played a few heads up tournaments on stars, winning one (well, I chopped it because it was like 2AM and I had to get up in 5 hours) and making the rd of 32 in the other before running into a total card rack. Honestly, I feel that something has to go wrong for me to lose a heads up match, as opposed to things just not going my way.

So I'm thinking of mixing in a heads up match or two into my normal routine of pounding my head against the wall in MTTs.
